Triad Records Music Store Delivers Music by Email

Sora Karnero

Philippine-based independent record label launches its MUSE music delivery service. (PRWEB) June 12, 2005 -- Triad Records online music store introduces today's first-ever music delivery system that uses email. MUSE (Music Straight to Email) is a simplified music purchase transaction executed in the original mail order fashion, but done both online and mobile. Anyone with an electronic wallet (Smart Money or Globe G-Cash account and Paypal, for non-Philippine residents) and an email account that can receive MP3 attachments can buy music straight from a mobile phone via the WAP site or from any PC with an internet connection. Customers have the option to buy individual songs at P20 each or full albums at P199. DVD-quality music videos will also be available soon for only P40. Making the payment has been made easier with detailed step-by-step instructions. CD-quality MP3's are then sent to the buyer's email account in a matter of minutes. Then, using bluetooth, an infrared or USB port, the songs can be transferred to any mobile phone or an iPod. "MUSE has been designed to be as flexible as music purchases come for serious music fans on the go. For instance, someone with a dialup connection at home can transact at our online store and later retrieve his mp3's at the cybercafe down the block and burn them to a CD," explains Reynard Cordero, head of Triad Records Operations. Truly enough, with the slew of enhanced web-based email services like Yahoo! and Gmail (Google Mail), people can keep buying mp3's and simply store them in their mail accounts until they have enough music files to fill a 700MB CD or a thumb drive.
